However recently normally passive users have divided themselves into two religious tribes - the pro-vax versus anti-vax.
This has lead to highly emotional and heated comments being posted on social media about this pandemic and its ramifications.
A word of advice: whilst debating on social media it is best to agree to disagree and not take arguments personally.
We are all entitled to disagree.
None of us have lab coats hanging on the back of the door and petri dishes in the fridge - we really don't 'know' one way or the other.
Let's remember opinions do not trump facts, and the purpose of education is to turn an empty mind into an open one.
When people say to me "I've done my research.", they actually haven't - they have merely listened to or read someone else's opinions about someone else's research.
So here are my thoughts on the human aspect of this pandemic, from an unqualified, unvaccinated, naturally immune perspective.
Firstly can we all acknowledge that there is still plenty the academics and scientists do not know about SARS-CoV-2.
I know Covid19 is real, because it nearly killed me.
And I believe in all probability the coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, either by design or neglect.
Hopefully we can agree so far and attempt to address the more contentious aspects of this pandemic.
The risk of dying from Covid19 is greater than dying from any of the vaccines if you are an adult over 65, especially if you are obese or your immune system is weakened by medical vulnerabilities, according the the World Health Organisation.
In contrast, statistics suggest the risk to healthy children is greater from the vaccine than is posed from the virus.
There is also the question of the vaccines' efficacy. While accusations and denials abound, the answers are at best vague and at worst misleading.
Annoyingly some mask wearers have self-beatified themselves, believing they should be publicly acknowledged for saving mankind.
Ironically the job of a surgical mask is to protect the wearer from splatter. It was never designed to "protect other people".
Fitted masks like the N95 are functional, but expensive, and have to be changed every two hours to remain effective.
So masks do and don't work - depending how you look at it.
It stands to reason social distancing works.
If you have a bug, using the age old tried and tested warning of "Don't come near me, I have a cold.", is a logical first response to contagion.
We definitely cannot trust social or mainstream media, or their fact checkers - they all have their own agendas and narratives to follow, none of which is 'first, do no harm'.
Do I trust science? Yes.
Do I trust scientists? No.
Do I trust politicians. Hell no!
Do I trust big pharma? Let's just say I believe that they believe there is more money to be made from remedy than cure.
The last thing this country needs is division. We must stick together, no matter which side of the mask/vaccine fence we stand - because Boris and his cunty mates are fucking off with the family silver whilst we bicker.
I know for a fact most billionaires increased their wealth while most working class people suffered during lockdown.
A mischief of unelected and influential chancers saw an opportunity during this pandemic and grabbed it with both hands. At the expense, I might add, of a huge coffle of voiceless and impecunious workers.
I hope I am correct in believing the Omicron variant is less virulent than its predecessor.
It is simply not true that viruses always evolve to be of low virulence. However, it is arriving in a community which is largely protected.
Maybe this new variant is what we need - a mild, highly transmissible variation which promotes herd immunity.
Take or don't take the vaccine, I don't care - both vaxxed and unvaxxed are capable of transmitting this bastard virus.
Therefore what is the point of vaccine passports, if not to divide and conquer, and ultimately exploit this once proud nation of consumers?
Vaccine passports are about control and herd conformity. These fully comprehensive passports are the thin end of a very large and sinister wedge.

Because of their consistent shenanigans, trust in the current government, including its opposition, is at an all time low.
It is possible that many double vaccinated people will not bother with their booster jabs, because if this government and its scientists refuse to take their own rules for this pandemic seriously, why should we?
What does this government know that we don't?
I vehemently believe in the Nuremberg code and our human right to personal autonomy - clearly this government and their kleptocratic friends disagree.
All of the Royal Colleges, every one of them, do not support a vaccine mandate - just take that in for a moment.
In this climate of media disinformation, my advice is take everything you hear from mainstream or social media with a pinch of salt. You would serve your family better if you question everything you are force fed.

The establishment has directed a fearful pantomime in which the players shout "Behind you!"
If we bow to manufactured fear we will betray our forebears who shed blood for our rights to freedom of choice and bodily autonomy. And worse still, we will condemn our children and our children's children to a life of servitude and conflict.
This is a coup d'état - an authoritarian heist. This government and its friends at the World Economic Forum want to coerce you into giving up your possessions - they want them all. "You will own nothing, and you will be happy."
Will the world's rich and powerful join you in owning nothing and being happy?
No, you will own nothing, and they will be happy.
It seems, along with Covid19, the Chinese Communist Party has also infected overambitious world leaders and nefarious non-governmental organisations with their misanthropy.
If we do not resist, our children will inherit a world governed by plutocrats.
